EpiTrackr ("the Company", "we", "us" or "our") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy governs how we process personal data of the users (hereinafter, "Personal data") when you install and/or use "EpiTrackr" software application for mobile devices (hereinafter, the "App", "our App").
We take responsibility to protect your "Personal data" which has the meaning as set forth in the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 in full correspondence with the applicable legislation. We are "data controller" for the purposes of the personal data processing under this Privacy Policy.
By using our app, you understand and agree with the Privacy Policy, otherwise you shouldn't download or use the app.
The app is designed for individuals aged 13 years or older. We do not knowingly collect, hold, use or divulge any information from children under the age of 13, unless a parent or legal guardian has consented to it. If you believe that any information has been collected from children under the age of 13 without your prior consent, you may contact us.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Account information: Profile details provided during registration.
- Health and motion information: Motion sensor data and heart rate data from wearable devices.
- Functional information: Technical data required for the app to function correctly.
- Request information: Content of communications between you and our support team.
- Analytics information: De-identified usage patterns used for service improvement.
LEGAL BASIS OF DATA COLLECTION
The legal basis for the processing is the performance of a contractual relationship with the User (art. 6(1)(b) and (c) of the GDPR), including the Company legitimate interests to provide the services with its app.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
- Account Information: used to verify your identity; to prevent fraud; to communicate regarding updates; to improve marketing performance. Your phone number will be used to send Emergency Alerts via phone calls if you accept the Caregiver role.
- Health and Motion Information: used solely for detection features, alerting Emergency Contacts, and enhancing algorithm accuracy through machine-learning.
- Functional Information: used to make the app's features working and to enhance quality through machine-learning. It is never provided to third parties for other purposes.
- Analytics Information: used to monitor and analyze trends and app usage to improve products and functionality.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
WE DO NOT SELL OR RENT YOUR INFORMATION.
- Caregivers from your group: If you invite another user to your group as your Caregiver, you authorize us to share with that user parts of your Account and Functional information within the app functionality.
- Service Providers: We may share hashed or encrypted information with providers who perform services on our behalf.
- Compliance with Laws: Disclosures made in response to legal process or required by law.
DATA TRANSFERRING AND STORAGE
All data when transferred off the end-user's device is encrypted in transit and stored in a system with access controls and encryption.
HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We will keep your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or to comply with applicable legal, tax or regulatory requirements.
ACCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA AND YOUR RIGHTS
Users have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability under the UK GDPR.
